I recommend scheduling newborn sessions within the first few weeks of your child's birth.
I take a very natural approach to all my newborn photos. I tend to work with a minimal number of props. I love to incorporate both mom and dad into some of the pictures, as well. If you have other children who are game for pictures, we'll certainly include them in this newborn picture party, too.

During our initial consultation, we can discuss the props I have available and what you'd be interested in using during our shoot. For example, I have various backdrops, blankets, baskets and other items. I am also 100% open to you bringing your own props. In fact, I love it when parents have their own props! After all, using the child's blanket instead of one that I have may prove more meaningful to you.

I love incorporating mom, dad and your other children into our session photos. While in most cases you, dad and baby will be the stars of the day, I believe it's so important to have several photographs with the entire family -- especially during your maternity and newborn sessions.

These are always a favorite since you get to have images with their eyes open and with these, we can get some great expressions from your baby. They make great storyboards too.

The Newborn Experience
Congratulations on your new arrival! Those first few weeks after your child is born are life changing. It's as if your whole world has opened and you've discovered that life wasn't incredible before your baby entered the world.
I want to capture that feeling for you. Your baby will change so much in those first few weeks of life and I love being able to capture all of those little details you’ll want to remember as your child grows. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but I believe that a picture is worth far more.
My studio is fully stocked with all the props, backdrops, wraps, headbands, hats, and layers you’ll need for baby’s photos. Newborn photography sessions are best scheduled in the first 5-15 days after baby is born.

It is best to book your newborn session during the last few months of your pregnancy. You can also book it at the same time you book your maternity session. This will ensure that I keep time open around your due date.
Once baby is here you will contact me to officially schedule the date on the calendar. At this point we can finalize your custom planned session. I always suggest getting newborn photographs within the first two weeks of your child's birth. I know that's a hectic time for new parents but hear me out. Those early days are life changing for everyone involved.
Don’t worry if you didn’t get a chance to book early I can still photograph your baby.
1. Say Hello
You don't have to feel stressed and confused when it comes to planning your newborn portrait session. We will custom design a portrait session perfect for your baby. I will help you decide what to wear if you choose to include family and or sibling portraits, where to go, what to bring?
You will have the option of choosing what colors you want to use for your newborn session. Each session is 2-4hrs to allow time for feeding, changing and posing baby.
2. planning it
It’s time for you baby's session. You can arrive up to 15min before your session time so that you can feet baby and get relaxed. I will usually start with baby wrapped for a couple prop poses. We will then move on to family/sibling portraits. Then we go with the flow of baby working through some more props, table poses and even some bonus images if we have time.
3. your session
Within 1-2 weeks, we will meet again to view your images and choose the poses you love the most for your collection. Relax and enjoy the reveal of your portraits. Choose your favorite images and order your prints, wall art, or album.
4. the reveal
Your order is here and it’s time to pick them up and hang them on your walls, display them on your desks and share them with friends and family. Now you can walk by, see them and smile.

A fully customized studio newborn session which may also include sibling and family photos along with baby only portraits. Session can last up to 4 hrs. since these are baby led to ensure they eat, relax, and feel safe.
